Hello!

I’m Seana, I provide a dog home boarding service in Blackburn, Darwen, Oswaldtwistle, Rishton, Wilpshire, Mellor and the surrounding areas.

At Digs for Dogs, we know from experience that traditional kennels can be a daunting and stressful place for many animals. We provide dog owners with the perfect alternative to kennels so you can be confident that your four-legged friend will receive the same amount of love and attention that they are used to at home.

With our dog home boarding service, we expertly match your dog with one of our loving pet sitters to give you complete peace of mind that your pet is cared for whilst you’re away.

Reviews about Seana Almond

Complete peace of mind

Complete peace of mind

Our 6 month cockapoo Daisy was looked after by Seana whilst we enjoyed a weeks holiday. Seana was very professional and personable from the off. She made sure she knew about Daisy’s every need and put us at ease once again! We were kept up to date during the week with some lovely photos and video footage! We were reassured that Daisy was settled and having lots of fun! Thankyou Seana!

We would recommend Digs for Dogs to anyone

We used Digs for Dogs for the first time recently and to say we are protective of our little Charlie is an understatement as he is on lots of medication so we won’t trust just anybody to look after him. Seana came to see us and put us at ease straight away, she is so lovely and very thorough with the questions she asked which made me confident she really knew her stuff! She went out of her way to find a family who had experience with giving medication as she knew I was anxious about it, we did a trial overnight stay before we went on our 2 week holiday and he loved it so much that when she came to collect him for the second time he was so excited to see her his little tail nearly came off from wagging so much and he didn't hesitate to jump straight in the van! Seana sent me regular updates on how Charlie was getting on and some pictures too! We would recommend this service to anyone who wants confidence knowing their dog is going to be well looked after and in good hands

A friendly, professional and reassuring service

A friendly, professional and reassuring service

We are new to Digs for Dogs, as we have previously had family to look after our Oscar. With this now not always possibly we needed to find an alternative and during research came across Digs for Dogs home boarding service. Having been impressed with the reviews I contacted Seana Almond and registered. Seana was lovely, the process was easy and I felt reassured that we were doing the right thing for our boy. Oscar went on his first sleepover and came back happy having enjoyed himself. This was the same when we went away for over a week. I know that whenever we go on our holidays he will be well looked after, and we’ll be able to relax knowing that Oscar is with Digs for Dogs. It is a friendly, professional and reassuring service.

Host Profiles...

Adrian & Denise

Adrian & Denise

Adrian and Denise live in Whalley and have retired from the hospitality industry having owned a dog-friendly B&B and pub.  They have had lots of experience having owned a Cocker Spaniel, a Poodle, and most recently, Chas, their beloved Springer Spaniel who lived to the grand old age of 15. They love the company of dogs, getting out and about, and meeting people on their walks, so having doggy guests of all shapes, sizes and ages is a great pleasure to them.  They are happy to host 2 dogs from the same family.  Dogs are allowed throughout the downstairs of their spacious house, including on the furniture, and have great fun playing in the secure garden.  Your dog is certain to be loved and cared for and have a great holiday.

Alison and Stu

Alison and Stu

Alison and Stu live in a spacious and comfortable town house in Briercliffe.  Stu is a cabinet maker and Linda works just 2 hours a day in the local primary school.  Their last dog was a Springer Spaniel whom they adored.  Since she passed away, they love to have doggy guests to stay with them for holidays.  They are dog crazy and lavish all their attention on their four-legged visitors.  They love spending time in their garden and have a year round summer house to enjoy the outdoors whatever the weather.  Their house backs onto allotments and miles of rolling countryside, providing easy access to great walks.  The dogs are truly spoiled and have the run of the house.

Margaret

Margaret

Margaret and Martin live in a beautiful detached home in Whalley.  Until recently they have always had their own dogs – Jack Russells and Corgis and love the company, walks and love that dogs bring.  As Margaret says “My favourite people are dogs”.  Now that they are retired they often spend time in their other home in Spain so do not want the full-time commitment that ownership brings – hosting doggie holidays gives them the opportunity to share their home, time and love with dogs yet the freedom to travel too.  They are surrounded by great walks in the countryside as well as having a large garden for their guests to enjoy.  The dogs have the run of the house except for the bedrooms.
