Me and my dogs
I live in Helmshore with my two teenage children James and Lucy, my best friend Jack the Jack Russell and two cats Smarties and Sting. From an early age, animals, particularly dogs have been a huge part of my life – from clever Beagles to bouncy Labradors and from loyal Staffies to cheeky Jack Russells – there’s always been a four-legged friend about.
My Digs for Dogs Business
I’d previously worked in Adult Social Care, helping people with learning disabilities and supporting older people with mental health problems, physical disabilities and sensory impairments.
When made redundant after 31 years in the service, I felt quite lost and Jack was a great comfort, our long walks in the fresh air chasing the blues away.
Starting a new career after 31 years really didn’t seem appealing – until I received the Digs for Dogs Newsletter. I jumped at the chance of running my own business. My belief in the company as a customer along with my love of animals immediately drew me to the idea and I had no hesitation in wanting to join the business and supply to high quality pet care to Blackburn and the surrounding areas.
