The Perfect Alternative to Kennels

Tameside, Bredbury, Burnage & Glossop

Who We Are and What We Do

Digs for Dogs is an award-winning pet services business offering dog owners the perfect alternative to kennels, whilst they are away on holiday or business.

We’ve built a community of committed and devoted dog lovers who provide a perfect home from home environment for your dog.

All of our home boarders do what they do simply because they love dogs. Some have their own dogs, while others have previously owned animals but now choose to care for an occasional house guest. Either way, you can be confident that your dog will enjoy a happy holiday stay with their usual routines, home comforts and lots of love and attention.

First we will come and meet you and your dog to understand their personality and specific requirements. We then carefully match each individual dog to the perfect home boarding family, and offer an initial sleepover to make sure everybody is happy.

When it’s time for you to go away, we will collect your dog with their food, bedding and favourite toys. We check that your dog is settling in and is happy in their holiday home, then keep in touch with you with regular pup-dates to let you know how they’re getting on.

You can rest easy, knowing your pet is being looked after by a fully licensed, insured and affectionate home boarder.

Our Process

At Digs for Dogs, we work hard to match your dog with the right dog home Boarding family. Our tried and tested process ensures we’ll make the perfect match for your pooch.

  1. Initial enquiry: Fill out our enquiry form and we’ll get to work.
  2. Meet and greet: We’ll visit you and your dog in your own home to take detailed information on daily routines, exercise, sleeping, feeding and any quirky behaviour.
  3. The match – Just like people, every dog has an individual personality with different requirements and we take these in to consideration when making a match. Whether you have a puppy, an OAP or a dog that needs regular medication, their needs will be met as our home boarders provide round the clock care and are always at home during the day.
  4. The introduction – we’ll take time to show you the best matched home boarder for your dog.
  5. Collection – we’ll collect your dog with all their belongings and transport them to their home boarding family in an air conditioned, dog friendly, fully insured vehicle. Experience tells us that this helps your dog settle far more quickly than they would if you drop them off yourself.
  6. Keeping in touch – The Digs for Dogs team will keep you updated during your time away with anything you need to know. Feeling nervous? We’ll even send pictures to let you know how your dog is settling in with their home boarding family.

Meet Janet

Meet Janet

I’m Janet and I provide a dog home boarding service in Tameside, Bredbury, Burnage and surrounding area including Glossop and Mossley.

I live with my partner Mark and my two border collies, Ben and Meg. I got my first dog at the age of 13 and so my love affair with dogs began and I have been a dog mum ever since.

At Digs for Dogs, we know from experience that traditional kennels can be a daunting and stressful place for many animals. We provide dog owners with the perfect alternative to kennels so you can be confident that your four-legged friend will receive the same amount of love and attention that they are used to at home.
