Helen Coogan and her Golden Labrador Lola are starting off the New Year with a New Career!
When Helen Coogan had an opportunity to take voluntary severance she knew exactly what her next career move would be! Helen saw an opportunity to do something she has always dreamed about doing which is to become self-employed, work with dogs and other dog loving like-minded people. Helen who lives in Whitefield has worked as a tutor in further education for the last nine years and decided to use her redundancy package to invest into a Digs for Dogs Franchise and she is now operating a full range of Pet Services, including Dog Walking, Puppy Visits, Elderly Dog Care, Pet Taxi Service to the vets or groomers for dog owners who reside in the Prestwich, Whitefield, Heaton Park, Unsworth, Hollins and Pilsworth areas.
Helen was initially introduced to Digs for Dogs when she used the home boarding service for her beloved dog Lola whilst she and her family went away on holiday. Helen totally understands how it feels to leave your four legged friend at home when going to work or away on holiday and knows that having reassurance that your pet is being cared for, having lots of fun and a good walk really does give you peace of mind.
Helen says, “The Digs for Dogs team have cared for Lola since she was a puppy and I have seen how much Debbie and Lisa love their work, so when the opportunity came along to join them, I jumped at the chance! What could be better than being out in the fresh air with all those lovely doggies, including Lola. It just doesn’t feel like work!”
One of Helen’s very first customers is little Teddy who is currently having weekly puppy visits with us. When Helen and Teddy met it was love at first woof!
…and they call it puppy love!
Helen can’t wait to get to work and meet even more gorgeous doggies! We wish her lots of luck with her new venture!
