A Spring in your Step

It’s April already. How did that happen?

Spring is a beautiful time – the weather’s improving, the daffodils are out and the clocks have gone back. We’re all clearing out the garage, cleaning the windows and the local recycling plant hasn’t been this busy in months.

There’s always a real sense of optimism in the air at this time of year. Perhaps it’s the arrival of the bank holiday season and the promise of long sunny days just around the corner, or maybe it’s the extra hours that we seem to be able to cram in to the day.

Whatever it is, there’s a real buzz and at Digs for Dogs it’s one of our favourite times, enjoying long dog walks and getting out and about.

But maybe you are not feeling a spring in your step right now.

Perhaps you are stuck inside the office, feeling trapped in a job you are unhappy in and you feel like the good weather is just passing you by.

So maybe as well as spring cleaning your home, its time to think about spring cleaning your career and becoming a franchisee with Digs for Dogs.

Lisa from our team did just that. Here’s what she had to say:

“I started to work for Digs for Dogs on a part-time basis alongside my “real” job as a customer services and financial advisor at the Nationwide Building Society. I absolutely loved my new role from day one and after nearly twenty years of service with the Nationwide, I decided to take a great leap of faith and joined the company full time, working with Debbie.

“It was the perfect business opportunity – it combined my love of dogs and my experience in customer services, whilst also giving me time to manage a busy family lifestyle with my three children, husband, two dogs, a cat and a horse!! To be honest, I’m not sure how I fit it all in to a day!!

“At this time of year in particular, it was fantastic to escape a stuffy corporate environment to get outside, exploring the fabulous local countryside. While I now work with the team in Head Office, I still love getting out and about and meeting our franchisees and customers.

“Digs for Dogs has given me the opportunity of a lifetime. I have swapped meetings, office politics and tough targets for fresh air, wagging tails and wonderful, like-minded people.”
