Dog Friendly Pubs!

Pub dog comp
It’s competition time! We want to discover where your favourite dog friendly pub is in and around the Bury area. Simply email your doggy pub of choice to [email protected] and your name will be entered into the draw to win a meal for 2 at the very pub you voted for! We think it’s very important for local businesses to support each other and we are loving the fact that more and more pubs around our area are becoming dog-friendly. What’s better than sharing a pint of beer (or bowl of water) and a packet of crisps in the sun after a long hike? Not a lot, we say!

Recommendations so far:

I vote for the Parkfield Inn in Whitefield.
It is co owned by a local lad who used to be a partner in the Shoulder of Mutton and the Portugese chef who used to manage the kitchen there.
The food is excellent getting trip advisor certificate of excellence for 2013 and 2014, cask marque ales, good wines, large beer garden and of course ‘Boris’ the friendly pub dog! The Victorian bull dog who welcomes everyone to his pub is known and loved by regulars of the Parkfield as he was at the Shoulder.
It is dog (and child) friendly, and the staff are welcoming of all who visit

Anne Morris, Holcombe Brook Bury

I wanted to cast a vote for the Buffer Stops in Rawtenstall, they adore dogs there and not only allow dogs in, but they fuss over them and most of the staff know Ben and Fuggle and love having them there – we are simply known as Ben and Fuggle’s owners!!
Nicola Martin, Rawtenstall

I vote for the Hare and Hounds in Holcombe Brook, Bury. They are great with dog… Always come over and give Leo treats! Same with the Brewery in Ramsbottom, Bury.

James Mawdesley, Brandlesholme, Bury

Keep your votes coming…..Competition finishes on the 1st November 2014
