Franchise Owner:

Sue Kent

I’m Sue and I provide a dog home boarding service in Glossop, Tintwistle, Hadfield, Woodhead, Broadbottom, Mottram in Longendale and the surrounding areas.

At Digs for Dogs, we know from experience that traditional kennels can be a daunting and stressful place for many animals. We provide dog owners with the perfect alternative to kennels so you can be confident that your four-legged friend will receive the same amount of love and attention that they are used to at home.

With our Dog Home Boarding service, we expertly match your dog with one of our loving pet sitters to give you complete peace of mind that your pet is cared for whilst you’re away.

Me and my dogs

I know first-hand how important your four-legged friends are to your family. I got Sam, our mad Cocker Spaniel, nearly 11 years ago as my son was scared of dogs and I wanted him to benefit from the unconditional love and great fun that comes with dog ownership. It was the best thing I could have done as not only did it cure his fear –  they became best friends.

My Digs for Dogs Business

I spent 28 years in the automotive industry working for global brands including Ford Motor Company, Jaguar,  Land Rover and  MG Motor. I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world with my job but I eventually decided it was time for a complete change of career and lifestyle.

I was initially introduced to Digs for Dogs as a customer and seeing the love and care they put into looking my own dog, I knew it was a company I would like to be a part of, so when the opportunity to run the franchise in Glossop came along, I grabbed it.

My home boarding team

As a dog owner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to find the right care for your precious pooch while you are away.

Digs for Dogs is a great alternative to kennels and the dogs are always truly loved and cared for. I have a fantastic team of carefully chosen loving home boarding families who provide a one to one home from home environment.

I do everything  I can to find out about your dog’s individual needs to ensure I match them with the perfect host family for them – and I can guarantee that your dog will be spoilt rotten!

We’re always on the lookout for people to become a home boarder and provide a loving home to one of our dogs in Glossop, Tintwistle, Hadfield, Woodhead, Broadbottom, Mottram in Longendale and the surrounding areas.

Please give me a call on 07753 674681 and I’ll get straight to work.

10 out of 10 for me

10 out of 10 for me

I was apprehensive about boarding my dog Nicolas in kennels until 2 of my friends recommended Digs for Dogs. My fears were soon laid to rest after he went on his sleepover. It was then time to go on my holiday; whilst abroad I received lots of pictures and messages via WhatsApp showing how happy and well looked after he was.  I would never use kennels after the service I received. It can seem a little more expensive than kennels, however it was worth every penny and you can’t put a price on your dogs happiness and your own peace of mind. 10 out of 10 for me. Philippa you were fantastic, a real credit to your team . Thank you so much from me and Nicolas, see you next year.

5 star care! I could not ask for more

5 star care! I could not ask for more

Rocko my beloved greyhound loves Phillipa and the lovely new friends she teamed him up with. Philippa took so much time getting to know Rocko, what he likes and doesn’t like, what his routine is, she really doesn’t leave any stone unturned! This weekend due to bad weather my holiday was extended – Philippa stepped in sorting out Rocko’s needs so that I could stay another day. This was way beyond what I expected, she really does go out of her way for you. I always know that my Rocko will receive 5 star care, I could not ask for more. I highly recommend Digs for Dogs and so does Rocko! He wants to say thank you every time she has cared for him.  I know I can go away at anytime knowing that I have no worries around Rocko and this really means a lot to me.

Digs for Dogs came to our rescue

Digs for Dogs came to our rescue

We have just returned from holiday. As this was a last minute booking we were struggling to find a holiday home for our rescue dog Bentley. Phillipa from Digs for Dogs came to our rescue. Bentley has lots of additional needs due to being a rescue dog. We had absolutely nothing to worry about. Phillipa is so professional and always puts the needs of the dog first. Thanks to the hosts Phillipa and Margaret for taking such great care of our baby. Would definitely recommend this service.
