Franchise Owner:

Susan Whitworth

I’m Susan, I offer a professional and reliable home boarding service in Radcliffe, Stoneclough, Little Lever, Darcy Lever, Bradley Fold, Breightmet, Ainsworth and the surrounding areas.

At Digs for Dogs, we know from experience that traditional kennels can be a daunting and stressful place for many animals. We provide dog owners with the perfect alternative to kennels so you can be confident that your four-legged friend will receive the same amount of love and attention that they are used to at home.

With our Dog Home Boarding service, we expertly match your dog with one of our loving pet sitters to give you complete peace of mind that your pet is cared for whilst you’re away.

Me and my dogs

I live in Holcombe Brook with my husband Les, I’m a mum of five grown up children and now a very proud Grandma! From an early age, animals, particularly dogs and horses have been a big part of my life – there has always been a four-legged friend about.

My Digs for Dogs Business

I spent years working in the insurance industry before being made redundant.
I started at Digs for Dogs in a part time role and was then offered the chance to start my own business in Radcliffe and knew that this was the opportunity I’d been waiting for. I’ve always been a dog lover and I love meeting new people.

My home boarding team

As a dog owner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to find the right care for your precious pooch while you are away.
Digs for Dogs is a great alternative to kennels and the dogs are always truly loved and cared for. I have a fantastic team of carefully chosen loving home boarding families who provide a one to one, home from home environment.
I do everything  I can to find out about your dog’s individual needs to ensure I match them with the perfect host family for them – and I can guarantee that your dog will be spoilt rotten!

We’re always on the lookout for people to become a home boarder and provide a loving home to one of our dogs in Radcliffe, Stoneclough, Little Lever, Darcy Lever, Bradley Fold, Breightmet, Ainsworth and the surrounding areas.

Please give me a call on 07522 866100 and I’ll get straight to work.

Reviews about Susan Whitworth

So happy he was able to go to a loving home

So happy he was able to go to a loving home

Just back of our holiday & it was the first time to leave our boy Rupert for 2 weeks. I was nervous & worried as I wanted him cared for the same way I care for him, he is spoilt & is my baby boy who is not often left alone. Thanks to Susan who reassured me & found a perfect match. Massive thanks to the hosts Pauline & Andrew for taking special care of him & sending him home looking clean & healthy. So happy he was able to go to a loving home. I will certainly use digs for dogs again (hopefully the same hosts) & recommend!
I can't recommend highly enough

I can't recommend highly enough

My elderly dog has boarded with Digs for dogs for a few years now and the service is faultless. His most recent stay organised by Susan was so wonderful, we were of course worried leaving him as he's nearly 15 but we received daily updates and photos and our boy came home like he'd had a week at a health spa! I honestly think he had the best time. I can't recommend highly enough . Thank you so much!
I cannot recommend Digs for Dogs highly enough

I cannot recommend Digs for Dogs highly enough

I cannot recommend Digs for Dogs highly enough. They ease the pressure and guilt of leaving your dog when going on holiday. Susan boards Amber with great, caring host families, she particularly loves going to Hilary and Keith who spoil her rotten. You get updates and pictures so you know how she is settling in which is appreciated. Susan is really helpful with any queries. They do a great job walking dogs also. They take a few dogs at a time and pay real attention to them. Digs for Dogs are an excellent company with great ambassadors. They are brilliant for both dog walking and home boarding.

Pauline & Andrew

Pauline & Andrew

Pauline & Andrew are a lovely retired couple who live in a beautiful detached house in Bury.  There is a large secure garden to the rear of the property and many great walking areas nearby, including Elton Reservoir and Dow Lane Park.  Pauline and Andrew really enjoy the companionship, loyalty and to be able to go out walking and really miss not having a dog around since they recently lost Bo their Bijon Frise which they owned for 15 years. They’re really enjoying their retirement enjoying lots of cruise holidays and looking after the grandchildren and spending time in the garden. They are both real animal lovers and your dog will feel very welcome here, enjoying one to one care, allowed anywhere in the house and great walks.
