Franchise Owner:

Carrie Owen

Hello!

I’m Carrie, I provide a dog home boarding service in Withington, Fallowfield, Chorlton, Hough End, West Didsbury, Chorltonville and the surrounding areas.

My home boarding team

As a dog owner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to find the right care for your precious pooch while you are away.

Digs for Dogs is a great alternative to kennels and the dogs are always truly loved and cared for. I have a fantastic team of carefully chosen loving home boarding families who provide a one to one home from home environment.

I do everything  I can to find out about your dog’s individual needs to ensure I match them with the perfect host family for them – and I can guarantee that your dog will be spoilt rotten!

Me and my dogs

I’m a life-long dog lover, however my long shifts when working in retail meant I couldn’t have my own dog  – something I longed for.

My Digs for Dogs Business

After 17 years in retail and working nights, I was looking for a total change in direction. I was made redundant and while deciding what to do next, I happened to see a leaflet advertising Digs for Dogs franchises –  and it was a Eureka moment. I was a being given the opportunity to work with them all day long – as well as being my own boss!

If you are looking for one to one care for your dog whilst you are away, please give me a call on 07845 928258 and I’ll get straight to work.

We’re always on the lookout for people to become a home boarder and provide a loving home to one of our dogs in Withington, Fallowfield, Chorlton, Hough End, Chorltonville, West Didsbury and the surrounding areas.

Daisy has settled well after her holiday with Elaine & John. We are really happy with our experience and we are safe in the knowledge that Daisy is being well looked after and genuinely cared for. The service provided by Digs For Dogs is fantastic. Having Daisy picked up and dropped off is so convenient. We enjoy having photos and updates of Daisy’s activities. I would not hesitate in recommending Carrie to my friends
Can't rate Digs for Dogs highly enough!

Can't rate Digs for Dogs highly enough!

Can't rate Digs for Dogs highly enough! I was so nervous at the thought of leaving our dogs somewhere for the weekend, especially at a kennels but thankfully someone recommended Digs for Dogs. They were fantastic from start to finish and really took the time to get to know our dogs, even down to the little things. We were sent photos whilst we were away which really put our minds at ease and they clearly had a lovely time. We will definitely be using Digs for Dogs again!
Digs for dogs is very professional in every aspect of care

Digs for dogs is very professional in every aspect of care

Carrie was very thorough collecting information about our little dog which put our minds at rest. We had daily updates with photo/ videos and reassurance which enabled us to thoroughly relax and enjoy our daughter’s wedding. Digs for dogs is very professional in every aspect of care. I would not hesitate to let Beau stay in their care again and will highly recommend them to all my doggy friends/owners and also to our vets. 10/10

Host Profiles...

Mike & Jill

Mike & Jill

Mike & Jill are a lovely couple who live in Hale, Cheshire. They both miss having a dog around and like the opportunity to spoil a visiting pooch. The have owned Labradors, mongrels and a wire haired dachshund. They both like walking/swimming and are a very active couple. Local walks in the area are the Bollin Valley, Green Walk, and Hale Barns Park.  They also have a caravan on Anglesey so any dog happy to go to the beach would be very welcome. Any lucky dog staying here would have lots of love and exercise.

Jane and Richard

Jane and Richard

Jane and Richard live in a lovely detached house in Marple, Stockport. They are both retired and have owned dogs most of their lives. They both miss the patter of paws around the house!!  They have owned Collies and Retriever’s and have looked after her friend’s Jack Russel terrier. They are both very active and like to keep fit my cycling, walking and playing tennis. Their hobbies include cooking and gardening. Jane loves cooking, her work and keeping fit by cycling and walking. Any dogs lucky enough to stay with this lovely couple would have lots of cuddles, attention, lots of walks along the local canal, Brabyn’s Park, Memorial Park and Staines. They welcome any shape or size and are happy for them to have the freedom of the house.

Colin & Joanne

Colin & Joanne

Colin & Joanne are both recently retired and live in Sale, Cheshire.

They are both very active people enjoying Yoga and Pilates classes a couple of times a week.

Colin & Joanne are now enjoying the freedom retirement brings and enjoy plenty of holidays, recently they have just completed all 3 peaks and enjoyed Snowdon so much they did it twice last year. Joanne is a keen gardener and loves helping for the National trust.

They have missed the opportunity to have a dog of their own due to previous work commitments but have always looked after friends and families pets whilst they were away.  Colin grew up with dogs so now with more time on their hands would love to spend time looking after dogs on Holidays and will have somebody to take on nice walks and then enjoy cuddles. Colin & Joanne would prefer a dog who likes plenty of exercise but equally are happy to adapt walks to short local strolls for older less agile dogs.
