About Me
An animal lover my whole life, I decided to follow my passion and study Animal Conservation at the University of Salford. I was a previous customer of Digs for Dogs and most recently a host family. When volunteering on the dog section at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, I met Rocky – a timid and unresponsive Staffy in a kennel environment. I spent a lot of time with Rocky during my 40 hour weeks at Bleakholt, saw his potential, and eventually brought him home! I loved the concept of Digs for Dogs as this allowed me to take holidays worry free, knowing Rocky would be happy in a home from home environment and not stressed again in a kennel. I now want to provide that same peace of mind to other dog owners.
Since Rocky passed away, my parents have become a Digs for Dogs home boarding family – they love dogs too, find it very rewarding and the perfect option without trying to replace Rocky.
After returning from living in New Zealand, where I spent 5 years, I wanted to get back into working with animals.When I heard about the franchise opportunity I felt that it would be the perfect opportunity to continue working with people and families combined with the pleasure of working with dogs in Rossendale.
