Ben & Clare LomaxYour local Digs for Dogs teamWe’re Ben and Clare, the husband-and-wife team behind your local Digs for Dogs walking service. Dogs have always been part of our family, and our Labradoodle, Hollie, means the world to us. We know how much trust it takes to hand over the lead, so we want you to feel comfortable with us from the start.
Clare spent 36 years as an NHS nurse, while Ben worked in printing and manufacturing for 22 years. We decided it was time for a change and a chance to spend our days outdoors, doing something we both love: caring for dogs.
We love exploring Edgworth Moor, Wayoh Reservoir and stretches of the Kingfisher Trail. Whether your dog enjoys a small group of friends or prefers a one-to-one walk, we take time to learn their personality, energy levels and favourite things. There’s room for a good sniff, a bit of play and plenty of attention along the way.
Before the first walk, we’ll arrange a free meet and greet so you and your dog can get to know us. We’ll chat about their routine, how they feel around other dogs and the days you need help. Get in touch and we’ll talk through the options, availability and prices together.

Yes. A free meet and greet gives you and your dog time to get to know Ben & Clare and ask questions before you decide to book.
Does my dog have to join a group?
No. Ben & Clare offer both small group walks and one-to-one walks. We’ll discuss your dog’s needs and agree the right option with you.
Do you cover my postcode?
Tell us your postcode in the enquiry form and we’ll check coverage and availability for your address.
What happens after I enquire?
Our team will get in touch to discuss the days you need, local availability and prices. Sending the form does not book a walk.
