MORE THAN A CHANGE OF JOB

A business of your own.
A life that feels more you.

Perhaps you’re ready for a career change, facing redundancy, or wondering whether work could feel more rewarding. Wanting something different is a good place to start.

A Digs for Dogs franchise gives you the chance to build a local business around dogs and the people who love them. You make the day-to-day decisions, develop customer relationships and see the difference your care makes.

It takes commitment. There are customers to find, details to organise and responsibilities to keep. Our role is to help you learn the business and support you as you build it.

TWO WAYS TO MAKE IT YOURS

Which working day
can you picture?

Both businesses put dogs first. The difference is how you spend your time and the kind of service you build.

INDEPENDENT DOESN’T MEAN ON YOUR OWN

Your business.
A team behind you.

You bring the energy and care. We provide a framework to build on. Here is what that means in practice, and where your own effort makes the difference.

01Learn the business, as well as the dog care

What we provide

Training covers operations, administration, sales and marketing, alongside canine first aid. It gives you a practical starting point for handling enquiries, organising your work and caring for dogs.

Where you take the lead

Put the training into practice, keep accurate records and ask questions as you learn. You bring the care, reliability and willingness to develop your skills.

02Launch with a name people can recognise

What we provide

An exclusive geographical territory, the Digs for Dogs brand, vehicle livery and promotional materials give your local business a consistent identity from the start.

Where you take the lead

Get to know your territory, introduce your service locally and build relationships. A recognisable brand opens a conversation; your service earns people’s trust.

03Turn interest into lasting customers

What we provide

Launch marketing, lead generation support and our website help people discover your service and make an enquiry. You have materials to support your own local promotion.

Where you take the lead

Follow up enquiries, arrange introductions and explain the right service for each dog. Keep promoting your business locally: enquiries are opportunities, not guaranteed bookings.

04Keep the details together

What we provide

Business systems support bookings and administration, helping you organise customer information and the day-to-day running of your franchise.

Where you take the lead

Keep availability, dog information and booking records up to date. Set aside time for your accounts, planning and customer communication.

05Have people to turn to after launch

What we provide

Ongoing operational guidance from Head Office and connection with the wider franchise network mean you can discuss questions and learn from other people running a Digs for Dogs business.

Where you take the lead

Stay in touch, raise concerns early and follow the business procedures. You remain responsible for delivering your local service and developing your customer relationships.

A WORKING LIFE YOU HELP SHAPE

More say in your day.
Real responsibility, too.

Being your own boss can give you more control over the business you build. It also means being the person customers rely on. Flexibility comes from careful planning, clear availability and a service you can consistently deliver.

Talk to us about school runs, family life and the income you need. It’s better to explore the practical fit together than to promise a lifestyle that won’t work for you.

MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION

A clear view of
your investment.

The franchise fee is one part of the picture. Talk through the full costs and the time you can commit before deciding whether this business is right for you.

Talk through the figures
01

Your franchise package

Your territory, training, branding, marketing materials and business systems form the foundation. We’ll explain the package and its terms in detail.

02

Getting ready to operate

Plan for a suitable vehicle and safe transport equipment, insurance and the practical costs of setting up. Ask what is included and what you need to arrange separately.

03

Running costs and breathing room

Allow for ongoing franchise fees, travel, local promotion and working capital while bookings build. Consider your own living costs during that period too.

Request the current written breakdown, including VAT, ongoing charges and the assumptions behind any business figures. Income and bookings are not guaranteed.

ONE STEP AT A TIME

You don’t need all the answers
to ask the first question.

A career change is a big decision. The first conversation is a chance to understand the opportunity, with no commitment to join.

  1. 01

    Start with a conversation

Tell us about your area, your experience and what you would like your working life to look like. Bring your questions.

  2. 02

    Explore the fit

Talk through the role, territory availability and the practical commitments. Compare both models if you are still deciding.

  3. 03

    Understand the detail

Review the package, costs and agreement. Make time for your own checks and advice so you can decide with confidence.

  4. 04

    Prepare for your launch

If we both decide to go ahead, work through the training and launch preparations, then start building your local business.

IT’S GOOD TO ASK

Big decisions.
Honest answers.

Still have something on your mind? We’d like to hear it.

Ask us a question
Do I need to have run a business before?

You do not need previous franchising experience. Training introduces the business systems, customer service, operations and marketing. You will need to be comfortable taking responsibility, learning new skills and working consistently to build your business.

How will I find my first customers?

We provide launch marketing and promotional support, a presence through the Digs for Dogs website and support with lead generation. You also need to promote your service locally, respond to enquiries and build trust through introductions and dependable care. The volume of enquiries and bookings will vary.

What support will I get after launch?

Head Office provides ongoing operational guidance, and you become part of the wider franchise network. You can talk through questions as your business develops. We will explain the support arrangements in detail when we discuss the opportunity with you.

Can I work around my family or other commitments?

Running your own business gives you decisions to make about your availability and how you organise your work. Customers still need a dependable service. Walking rounds have agreed times; boarding involves supporting stays that may include weekends and holidays. Talk to us about your commitments so we can explore a realistic fit.

What could I earn, and how quickly?

Your income will depend on demand in your territory, the bookings you build, your capacity and your costs. We can discuss the business figures and assumptions with you. Allow for a period of building the business, and remember that turnover is not the same as profit or take-home income.

Is there a territory available near me?

Tell us your postcode and where you would like to work. We can discuss territory availability and whether a new franchise or an advertised resale may be relevant. An enquiry does not commit you to joining.

Prefer an existing business?

Explore advertised franchise resales and discuss the details of each opportunity.
