On the 14th of June, one of our Host Families, Denis and Margaret, held a street party for their neighbours and friends in order to support England in their first World Cup Match and raise money for the Help the Heroes Charity. As a thank you for being such fabulous hosts, Digs for Dogs donated a free holiday for Denis and Margaret to raffle at the event.

Although the afternoon turned a little damp and England didn’t quite make it, the kids had a great time, spirits were high and the fun and festivities went on well into the late evening. With the help of Digs for Dogs and kind donations from neighbours, Denis and Margaret managed to raise £365 from one small street party! They even got a special letter from the co-founders of Help the Heroes themselves, thanking the couple for their hard work and contribution to the cause. Well done Denis and Margaret – not just wonderful hosts!
