sports relief
Natalie has entered the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile at Burrs Country Park, Bury on Sunday 23rd March. She will be doing a three mile dog walk with her hubby Stevie and the lovely Ollie. You would think that Natalie would be tired of dog walking after taking all the dogs out and about around all the parks and countryside in Bury and Whitefield . Good Luck Natalie.. Hope you raise lots of money for such a worthy cause.

As well as Sport Relief, Digs for Dogs have also been helping out two more local charities: Bury Cancer Support Unit and Bury Hospice.

In March, Bury Cancer Support held their annual ball and Bury Hospice had a Ladies Lunch at San Rocco Restaurant. Digs for Dogs donated a weeks dog home boarding in Bury to each charity event, that were then auctioned off or won in a raffle.

Since then, Bury Hospice have written extending their thanks –
Dear Digs for Dogs, thank you so much for the fantastic dog home boarding weekend you donated to our raffle for the Ladies Luncheon that we held in aid of Bury Hospice on the 7th March. As you are probably aware, it costs a huge amount of money to run the hospice and it is almost entirely dependent on charity donations and local fundraising. At this event, we raised nearly £15,000 which is an incredible amount, enough to run the hospice for two whole days. We could not have managed to raise such a fantastic amount without the generosity and support of people like you

We love giving back to charities, especially ones from our local community, and will continue to do so throughout 2014 and beyond!
