Congratulations to our Franchisee Lisa Rose and her daughter, Lucy on winning Silver medals at the Taekwondo World Championships!
Lisa Rose and daughter Lucy, took part in the Taekwondo World Championships last month in Birmingham. The mother-daughter duo both competed in Sparring events which involves semi-contact high energy fighting and came away with Silver medals! Lucy, 11, also exhibited her skill, focus and body control in a Taekwondo Pattern event and won Bronze.
The World Championships were arranged by the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain (TAGB; the largest martial arts organisation in the world) and are considered one of the largest and best-coordinated competitions of its kind, worldwide. The TAGB has over 25,000 accredited members and thousands turned up to the World Championships at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham, to take part and spectate.
Local press were so impressed that the Bury Times chose to feature their success in their Sports section!
