Who We Are and What We Do

Tail-Wagging Adventures with Digs for Dogs

At Digs for Dogs, we’re not just dog walkers — we’re your dog’s new best friends. Since 2012, we’ve been trusted by pet parents to give their dogs the exercise, stimulation, and companionship they need while you’re away.

We understand how hard it can be to leave your furry friend, even for a few hours. That’s why we make every walk an adventure — full of fun, fresh air, and social time with other friendly pups.

Why Our Walks Make a Difference

Dogs thrive on routine, exercise, and variety. Our walks are designed to:

  • Keep your dog physically active and mentally engaged
  • Explore different environments to satisfy their natural curiosity
  • Provide safe, supervised socialisation with other dogs
  • Leave them happy, relaxed, and ready to snooze when they get home

What to Expect — Our Process

  1. Getting to Know You & Your Dog
We start with a friendly meet-and-greet to learn all about your dog’s personality, preferences, and any special needs.

  2. Safe & Comfortable Transport
Your dog is picked up from home and travels in our specially designed, air-conditioned van — built for comfort and safety.

  3. Walks Full of Fun
Our walks last around an hour and take place in secure, stimulating outdoor locations. When the sun’s out, we might stay a little longer — because happy dogs don’t watch the clock!

  4. Home Again, Happy & Tired
After the walk, we return your dog home, towel them off if needed, refresh their water, and settle them in. We can also feed or medicate them on request.

Don't just take our word for it...

Denise Walters

Hello, I’m Denise and I currently live in Heywood with my husband, 2 children and 2 cheerful and friendly bulldogs, Ruby and Charlie.

After working in the retail sector for 27 years I knew the time was right for a career change. It has always been a dream of mine to work with animals and when the chance came along to work with Digs for Dogs, I knew it was an amazing opportunity to combine my passion for walking along with my love for animals. I like nothing more than unwinding after a busy day by taking relaxing walks with my husband and our adorable bulldogs.

Dogs have always been an important part of my life. As a dog owner myself, and having experience of owning various breeds, I know that every dog is different, and they all have their own unique personalities and individual needs. I also appreciate the unconditional love, loyalty, companionship and joy they bring to everyday life.

Alison Ellis

I live in Tottington with my parter and my daughter. I’m an animal lover through and through and dogs have always been a huge part of my life.

I have to admit – dogs are my true passion and I have vast experience in handling a wide variety of dogs of all shapes and sizes with different personalities.

I like to keep my walks exciting and new by taking the dogs to lots of different places in their local area. We often go to Jumbles Country Park, Redisher Woods, Holcombe Hill, Nuttall Park, Kirklees Trail and Summerseat fields. I absolutely love my job and am proud of the organised, yet fun service I provide to my customers. Ensuring all my dogs are safe, happy and healthy is my number one priority

Tom Cload

I’ve always had a passion for animals – I have owned a variety of pets myself, and love being out and about in the fresh air, so dog walking seemed like the perfect career choice!

After studying and working in Graphic Design for several years, I decided that the long hours at a desk, working to strict deadlines wasn’t for me. I started working for Digs for Dogs as an employee, and saw first hand the pride everyone has for their job, and the love and attention that goes to the animals in their care. When the opportunity to become a franchisee came up, I couldn’t let it pass by.

Abigail Roberts

Hello, I’m Abigail and I own the Digs for Dogs dog walking and pet services franchise covering the Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley areas.

Dogs have always been an important part of my life, and as a dog owner myself, I know just what an integral part of the family they are! My dogs, Poppy and Milo, share my love for the outdoors – in all weathers, and my active lifestyle. We enjoy many adventures together.

I am fully trained and qualified in Canine First Aid, so I can assure you that your dogs will be in extremely safe hands with me. I am truly passionate about caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes and realise the importance of socialising, playing and exploring. I look forward to having some exciting adventures together soon!

Hannah Holt

Hi, I’m Hannah! I live in Heywood with my husband and our three lovely daughters. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our two furry companions – Charlie, a lively Siberian Husky, and Coco, our sweet little Pug.

After years of working in healthcare and office roles, I realised that a 9-5 desk job just wasn’t for me. I’ve always had a passion for animals, so when I discovered Digs for Dogs, I knew it was the perfect fit. Now, I get to work for myself, stay close to my family, and spend my days with the animals I love.

Every dog has a unique personality, and no matter how your day is going, they always have a way of bringing a smile to your face. In my free time, you’ll find me at the farm with my horse or enjoying walks with my family and our dogs.

I’m excited to offer dog walking services in Heywood & Fairfield, I will be out and about around Ashworth Valley

Neal Houldsworth

I love being outdoors in all weathers and being active. As a dog-dad I know what an integral part of the family dogs are, so rest assured your pet will be in extremely safe hands.

Every dog is an individual so I provide a variety of services to ensure your dog gets the care that they need. This could be a group dog walk with 3 or 4 dogs, giving them a chance to run around and get to know each other, perfect for socialising. Other dogs require the extra attention of a solo walk or a puppy visit for those little legs.

Whichever best suits your pooch, I will make sure they have plenty of exercise and plenty of fun and then I will return them warm, dry, and ready for a snooze.

Cate Aspinall

I live in Hindley Green with my husband Martin. I always had pets growing up and although we no longer have our own dog, I am hopeful this will change in the very near future. I am lucky enough to be able to share a gorgeous bouncy chocolate Labrador called Hugo who belongs to some really special friends.

I worked for Greater Manchester Police as a Traffic Support Officer for 15 years but I wanted a change. I have always loved animals, especially dogs and I love walking and being outside in the fresh air. When the opportunity came along to join Digs for Dogs it was a dream come true.

Peter & Louise Langham

We have been married for 6 years and live in Heald Green with our twins, Sophie & Grace, along with our 8 cats and 2 Newfoundlands – Hera & Hugo. We are huge animal lovers and have grown up with Labradors, Boxers and Collies so have plenty of experience with different breeds, sizes and personalities!

Our dog walking service will ensure your pet has the best possible experience on every single walk. We know how much your dog means to you, they are an important part of the family, so your dog’s welfare and happiness is always of the utmost importance to us.

Kirsty Brogan

Before Digs for Dogs I worked in Childcare for many years, and I was a customer of Digs for Dogs myself, so I can assure you that your dogs will be well looked after with me.

I am certainly my happiest when I’m around my furry friends, and out in the great outdoors, so when the opportunity to pursue dog walking as a career arose, I just knew it would be my ideal job.

I want to reassure you that I will provide the best care possible for your dog/s and ensure they have a safe, enjoyable walk when they are with me.

Claudia Smith

I’m Claudia and I operate the Digs for Dogs dog walking and pet services franchise in Worsley, Walkden, Farnworth and the surrounding areas.

I have always loved caring for animals – I have had all kinds of pets since the age of 9. I currently live with my dog Gizmo and my Rabbit Ashley and regularly care for my friends pets too! I can’t wait to share my love and experience with dogs, and you can rest assured that I will always give your pooch the same love, care and attention that you would do yourself.

I am looking forward to meeting you and your dogs very soon!

Best thing we ever did was getting in touch with Digs for Dogs!

"Our 20 month old German Shepard Max was such an anxious and over excited dog, we just couldn't take him out on daily walks as he would bark and pull constantly. Our dog walker Paula has transformed him into a much calmer dog and is now taking him out 5 days a week. He even sits waiting for her at the window - he can't wait to see her! Thank you so much Paula & Digs for Dogs"
