Our fantastic new members of the Digs for Dogs Team, Bev and Natalie, are now fully qualified Dog First Aiders! They both completed the Emergency Canine First Aid Course through Rhodes 2 Safety that was run by a lovely woman called Kelly Rhodes. Kerry had two gorgeous Rhodesian Ridgebacks called Axl and Chi who they could practice certain procedures on such as bandaging, how to find a pulse on the inside of the back legs and listening to the heartbeat.

Natalie and Bev both learned so much about what action to take in an emergency and had a great day. They covered numerous emergency situations that animal owners can come across and gained the skills and confidence to help, such as CPR, artificial respiration, shock, burns, choking and bleeding. They said they met some lovely people and lots of money was raised for Space Dogs.

So, your dogs are now in even safer hands if anything were to ever happen – great news, well done girls!
